Nepal-South Korea

Nepal and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic relations on May 15, 1974, making South Korea the 55th country to establish bilateral ties with Nepal. South Korea opened its Embassy in Kathmandu in 1974, while Nepal established its Embassy in Seoul in 2007.

In 2024, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the Prime Minister of Nepal and the President of the Republic of Korea exchanged congratulatory messages with the tagline ‘Everesting Friendship: Nepal-Korea 50th Anniversary’.

The relations between Nepal and Korea have been based on goodwill, friendship, and cooperation.
