MP Dhakal Meets Pope Leo XIV

Kathmandu: Ek Nath Dhakal, Member of the House of Representatives of Nepal, greeted Pope Leo XIV, Sovereign of Vatican City State, on June 21 at a special audience given by the Vatican to the visiting international leaders at the Hall of Benediction.

Lawmaker Dhakal exchanged a few words with the Holy Father. The Pope’s audience was attended by the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, international parliamentarians, and faith leaders.

Dhakal was representing the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) as its Secretary General. Earlier Dhakal attended and spoke at the IPU’s Parliamentary Conference on Interfaith Dialogue at the Italian Parliament.
