Pakistan Embassy Awards Scholarships to 195 Nepali Students

The Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Programme, initiated in 2013, has grown in popularity among Nepali students over the years.

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu organized the 13th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Award Ceremony on June 26 in Kathmandu. Ek Nath Dhakal, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Nepal Family Party, was the Chief Guest at the event.

During the ceremony, Dhakal distributed scholarships to 195 deserving Nepali students from 102 schools across the country. A laptop was also presented to an outstanding student for consistent academic excellence.

In his address, Dhakal praised Pakistan’s ongoing support in the education sector, calling it a reflection of the strong and friendly ties between Nepal and Pakistan. He expressed hope that such initiatives would inspire youth from both countries to work toward a shared vision and called for deeper cooperation in other areas as well.

Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continuing and expanding the scholarship programme, including support for higher secondary education. He described the event as a celebration of student achievement and emphasized the importance of encouraging Nepali youth in academics, sports, and positive social engagement.
