Indian Para-Cyclist Rakesh Banik Welcomed in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: The Embassy of India in Kathmandu welcomed para-cyclist Rakesh Banik from Assam, who is in the final stretch of his extraordinary 9,000 km para-cycling expedition, “Volga to Brahmaputra”, covering a journey from Moscow to Guwahati.

Banik’s mission aims to promote Incredible India and Awesome Assam, highlighting India’s diverse cultural heritage and natural beauty to the world.

During his visit, Banik met with Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy, Prasanna Shrivastava, and interacted with students at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kathmandu. He inspired the young audience with his remarkable story of courage, determination, and resilience.
