Ambassador Thapa Meets UN Envoy to Discuss Digital Innovation

Kathmandu: Ambassador Lok Bahadur Thapa, Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, met with Amandeep Singh Gill, UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Envoy for Digital and Emerging Technologies.

Their discussion focused on the role of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming the economies of developing countries, especially Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs). They also explored the potential for economic growth through innovation and emerging technologies.
