Sri Lankan Embassy Facilitates Dispatch of Sacred Buddha Statue from Nepal

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu facilitated the dispatch of a sacred statue of Lord Gautama Buddha from Kopan Monastery in Nepal to the Gangaramaya Temple in Sri Lanka on August 4.

Moreover, the statue was handed to Chameera Munasinghe, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Sri Lanka to Nepal, in a ceremony.
