Deputy PM Poudel Meets China’s Deputy Customs Minister

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel held a courtesy meeting with China’s Deputy Minister of Customs Administration Wang Lingjun in Kathmandu on August 28, 2025.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues including the management of customs checkpoints along the Nepal-China border, reconstruction of the flood-damaged bridge and road at the Rasuwa checkpoint, and the upgrading of road infrastructure as per previous agreements.

They also reviewed bilateral trade relations and stressed the importance of implementing past agreements between Nepal and China to further strengthen economic and infrastructural cooperation.
