UNICEF Official Praises Korea’s Support for Flood-Hit Nepal

Kathmandu: UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Ted Chaiban has lauded the Republic of Korea for providing timely humanitarian support to Nepal after the devastating floods and landslides of September 2024.

Korea contributed USD 500,000 through UNICEF to help affected communities. With this aid, 3,520 people received lifesaving health services, 6,648 gained access to clean water and sanitation, and 10,560 children benefited from safe spaces and psychosocial support in Kavre.

Chaiban, who visited flood-hit areas in Kavre, said Korea’s support played a crucial role in the recovery efforts.
