ECOSOC President Thapa Meets UN Deputy Secretary-General Mohammed

Kathmandu: President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Ambassador Lok Bahadur Thapa, met with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed.

The meeting focused on ECOSOC’s central role in shaping the global development agenda and ensuring better delivery on commitments. Both sides underscored that strengthening ECOSOC is vital for advancing multilateralism, rebuilding trust, and addressing global challenges, including achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
