AmCham Nepal Extends Best Wishes to Nepal’s Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki

Kathmandu: The American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) had extended its best wishes to Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki, who formally assumed office as Nepal’s Prime Minister on September 14, two days after being appointed to lead the interim government.

“We look forward to working with her and the interim government to advance greater stability, inclusive growth, and shared prosperity,” the American Chamber of Commerce said in its statement. “AmCham Nepal expresses its heartfelt condolences for the tragic loss of 51 lives and conveys wishes for the swift recovery of those injured. A peaceful and stable Nepal is the foundation for economic growth and shared progress for all.”

AmCham Nepal highlighted the U.S. business community’s commitment to supporting Nepal’s development and pledged to work as constructive partners with the government on reforms that build economic resilience.

Moreover, the chamber underscored the importance of transparent and accountable institutions, good governance, and public trust in attracting sustainable investment.

Reaffirming its commitment to dialogue and cooperation, AmCham Nepal stressed the need for collective action to restore calm, law, and order while preventing further damage. It reiterated its support for Nepal’s long-term stability, reform agenda, and prosperity.
