U.S. Embassy Reaffirms Commitment to Academic Cooperation in Nepal

Kathmandu: The U.S. Embassy in Nepal has reiterated its commitment to advancing academic cooperation between the United States and Nepal during an orientation program held at a prominent private school.

Public Affairs Chief Mike Harker attended the event as Guest of Honor and addressed newly enrolled higher secondary students and faculty members. The school had previously partnered with the Embassy to host an EducationUSA mini fair.

In his remarks, Harker highlighted the Embassy’s educational priorities and stressed the importance of academic partnerships in promoting mutual understanding and long-term engagement. He noted that U.S. educational diplomacy supports both Nepali aspirations and American interests by strengthening people-to-people connections and positioning the United States as a key partner in the changing educational landscape.

He added that through continued engagement with leading academic institutions, the U.S. is committed to supporting the next generation of leaders and building lasting ties between the two countries.
