Minister Bhandari Holds Key Bilateral Meetings on Sidelines of ILC 2025 in Geneva

KATHMANDU: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Mr. Sharat Singh Bhandari, held important bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the International Labour Conference (ILC) 2025 in Geneva.

He met with Dr. Tariq Bin Abdulaziz Al-Hamad, Deputy Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Human Resources of Saudi Arabia. The two discussed cooperation on labour migration and ways to strengthen protections and opportunities for Nepali workers in Saudi Arabia.

Minister Bhandari also met with Jérôme Cosandey, Head of the Labour Directorate at the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs. Their discussion focused on labour rights, decent job creation, and collaboration in the field of employment and skills development.

As the head of the Nepali delegation to ILC 2025, Minister Bhandari also visited Nepal’s Permanent Mission in Geneva to review its priorities, ongoing activities, and engagements with international institutions.
