Swiss Foreign Minister Cassis Arrives in Nepal for Three-Day Official Visit

Kathmandu: The Foreign Minister of the Swiss Confederation, Mr. Ignazio Cassis, arrived in Kathmandu on July 6, leading a high-level delegation for a three-day official visit to Nepal.

Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Minister Cassis and his delegation were warmly received by Mr. Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, Joint Secretary and Head of the Europe Division at Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit is expected to further strengthen the longstanding friendship and bilateral cooperation between Nepal and Switzerland. During his stay, Foreign Minister Cassis is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Nepali leaders and officials, focusing on areas of mutual interest such as development cooperation, climate change, and economic partnerships.
