Minister Gurung in Geneva to Represent Nepal at WSIS+20 High-Level Event

Kathmandu: Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, is in Geneva, Switzerland, leading the Nepali delegation to the WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2025.

The Minister was warmly received at the airport by Nepal’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ram Prasad Subedi.

The WSIS+20 High-Level Event, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), marks the 20-year review of the World Summit on the Information Society. The gathering brings together global leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to assess the progress made in the digital and information society and to outline future strategies for inclusive and sustainable digital development.

Nepal’s participation in the event highlights its growing engagement in the global digital dialogue and its commitment to promoting digital inclusion, innovation, and development in line with the WSIS Action Lines and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
