Kathmandu: Senior leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has departed for China to participate in the ‘World Civilization Dialogue’ being held in Beijing at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
According to his personal secretary Krishna Bhattarai, Khanal will first visit Henan Province for three days before attending the main event in Beijing. During his stay in Henan, he is scheduled to visit a modern agricultural research center, a digital technology company, a new energy technology factory, and rural revitalization model projects. He will also deliver a keynote address at a special interaction organized by the CPC Henan Provincial Committee.
Khanal will arrive in Beijing on July 10, where he is set to address two major sessions. He will deliver a keynote speech at the third plenary session of the ‘Ministerial Dialogue of World Civilizations’ under the theme Joint Promotion of Common Values of Humanity. Later the same day, he will also speak at the inauguration of the sixth sub-forum titled Exchange of Civilizations, Mutual Learning and Academic Dialogue.
During his time in Beijing, Khanal is expected to meet with Liu Jianchao, Head of the CPC’s International Department, along with other senior leaders, former prime ministers, ministers, experts, and international delegates participating in the conference.
He is scheduled to return to Nepal on July 11 after concluding his five-day visit.
