Kathmandu: Nepali PUBG team Horaa Esports has secured ninth place in the PUBG Mobile World Cup, part of the ongoing eSports World Cup in Saudi Arabia. Horaa delivered a strong performance by winning the Chicken Dinner in the final game, finishing with a total of 100 points from 18 matches.
With this achievement, Horaa Esports has earned a total of $127,500 in prize money. This includes $27,500 for their performance in the league stage, $25,000 from the survival stage, $15,000 for the show match, and $60,000 for securing ninth place in the grand finals. The total prize amount is equivalent to approximately Rs 17.9 million at the current exchange rate.
Horaa did not qualify directly for the grand finals after finishing 13th in the league stage. However, they advanced through the survival stage, where they scored 108 points in 12 games, including two Chicken Dinners. Their strong performance in this stage earned them a spot among the top eight teams moving forward to the finals.
Despite not making it to the top initially, Horaa Esports’ resilience and consistent gameplay brought them into the top 10 of the global competition. The PUBG Mobile World Cup title was ultimately claimed by Myanmar’s YG Esports.
