Gandaki: Pokhara Metropolitan City and Youngsan University in South Korea have signed an agreement for scholarship for the study of technical education.
Mayor Dhan Raj Acharya and Professor Choi Jae-Young of the Youngsan University signed the agreement on Wednesday.
As per the agreement, in the context of educational development, emphasis on international relations and mutual development between the two countries would be laid through academic, cultural and technical support of Pokhara metropolis.
Human resources and information would be exchanged to support the international cooperation in education, tourism and technical sectors as well as there would be partnership between the metropolitan city and the University on educational programmes, visit, and virtual education, shared the Metropolitan City.
On the occasion, Mayor Acharya expressed the belief that the University would make necessary facilitation to the students of Pokhara pursuing their education in Korea in their study, social security and minimum employment.
Acharya further said the agreement with the University would also establish student’s access to international scholarship.
Similarly, Professor Choi Jae-Young shared that they were ready to join hands with Pokhara metropolis for educational development.
“Mainly, we are willing to work closely with Pokhara Metropolis on the issues of technical education, human resources, and mutual benefit”, he said.
