Kathmandu: The American Center in Kathmandu has launched the SkillUp Series, a new initiative aimed at preparing Nepal’s next generation to lead, innovate, and thrive through alumni mentorship and skills-based workshops.
The series began with a hands-on session titled From Mindset to Business Model, led by U.S. Exchange Alumni and Khalti Co-founder Amit Agrawal. He trained participants on entrepreneurial traits, purpose-driven leadership, and turning challenges into business opportunities.
Opening the program, Cultural Affairs Officer Erica Alexander highlighted the importance of equipping young Nepalis with business-ready skills to expand opportunities, strengthen local economies, and foster U.S.-Nepal collaboration.
The series will feature experts delivering practical training in digital marketing, finance, leadership, and business planning to empower aspiring changemakers with tools to build sustainable ventures.
