Kathmandu: Ambassadors from the European Union–Finland, France, and Germany–met Prime Minister Sushila Karki at Singha Durbar on September 25.
European Union Ambassador Veronique Lorenzo, Finnish Ambassador Petri Puhakka, French Ambassador Virginie Corteval, and Benjamin Seidel, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the German Embassy, reaffirmed their support for Nepal’s democracy, rule of law, and human rights, including the holding of free and fair elections.
The meeting also discussed strengthening Nepal-EU relations and expanding EU support for Nepal’s development priorities.
Moreover, in a social media post, the EU in Nepal stated, “As Nepal’s trusted economic and political partners, Team Europe is committed to supporting Nepal’s growth, attracting EU investments, and creating more jobs for Nepalis at home.”
