KATHMANDU: Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was crowned the 72nd Miss World during a dazzling finale held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, India. She was crowned by Krystyna Pyszková from Czechia, the 71st Miss World.
Hasset Dereje of Ethiopia was named 1st runner-up and Miss World Africa, while Poland’s Maja Klajda took the title of 2nd runner-up and Miss World Europe. Aurélie Joachim from Martinique was the 3rd runner-up and crowned Miss World Caribbean.
Other continental titles were awarded to Krishnah Marie Gravidez from the Philippines as Miss World Asia, Jessica Pedroso from Brazil as Miss World Americas, and Jasmine Stringer from Australia as Miss World Oceania.
In her first speech as Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata expressed gratitude and shared her vision: “This moment is not just a personal victory, it is a shared dream of every young girl who wants to be seen, heard, and create change. I am honored to represent this legacy and use my time as Miss World to make a real difference.”
The event brought together 108 contestants from around the world, who participated in cultural activities and experiences leading up to the finale.
