26 Civil Society Organizations came together under the Hamro Sahas Programme

Kathmandu: 26 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) came together under the Hamro Sahas programme, a joint initiative by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in Nepal and UN Women Nepal on June 2.

Hosting its first workshop on April 9, 2025, the British Embassy in Nepal partnered with the UN Women Nepal in order to shape Nepal’s feminist landscape.

Additionally, Patricia Fernandez-Pacheco, UN Women Country Representative to Nepal, and Ron Fenn, British Ambassador to Nepal, addressed the symposium as well.

To design a community of practice for shared learning, dialogue, and action on gender equality, 26 CSOs gathered at the program. From shared values to collective action, the discussion was a powerful step toward building the feminist movement and changing the social norms.
