U.S. Ambassador Thompson Participates In ‘SEEP Mela 2082’ in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: U.S. Ambassador to Nepal, Dean R. Thompson, participated in the ‘SEEP Mela 2082,’ organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City, calling it an inspiring initiative to tackle youth unemployment and boost local economic growth.

The month-long program focuses on skill-building, job readiness, and connecting youth with opportunities, including those offered by U.S. companies such as members of AmCham.

Ambassador Thompson also highlighted the involvement of the U.S. Youth Council, noting the event as a strong example of local innovation and Nepal-U.S. partnership working together to reduce outmigration and promote shared prosperity.
