Kathmandu: To further facilitate and promote international investment in Nepal through economic diplomacy, the Investment Board Nepal has appointed Under-Secretary Manoj Regmi as the Economic Diplomacy Focal Person.
According to Hemraj Tamang, Joint Secretary of the Investment Board, the Economic Diplomacy Focal Person will coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of Nepali diplomatic missions abroad to facilitate increased investment in Nepal. The focal person will also play a role in informing the international community about investment opportunities in Nepal, exchanging information, and addressing issues that may arise.
Earlier, during a meeting organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Investment Board, representatives of Nepali diplomatic missions abroad had expressed the view that the appointment of a focal person would help them better understand investment-related matters in Nepal and enable them to play a constructive role in promoting investment inflows.
The Investment Board has informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the appointment of the Economic Diplomacy Focal Person.
