Kathmandu: Nepal won the toss and elected to field first against Scotland in a must-win final group match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on 25th January.
Both teams are under intense pressure as they battle for a place in the Super Six stage. Nepal’s hopes of advancing will come to an end if Scotland secure a victory in today’s encounter.
Nepal began their campaign with an eight-wicket defeat to Thailand, followed by a narrow two-run loss against the Netherlands. The team, however, revived their qualification chances with a victory over Zimbabwe in their third match.
Today’s fixture is decisive for Nepal as they seek to keep their Super Six aspirations alive.
