Kathmandu: Hon. Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal and Hon. Dennis Cornwall, Minister for Finance of the Government of Grenada signed a Joint Communiqué, formally establishing diplomatic relations between Nepal and Grenada, during a brief ceremony held in the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations in New York on September 23.
Prior to a brief signing ceremony held at the Mission, the two Ministers exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest. They underscored the importance of accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addressing the impacts of climate change. They also discussed opportunities to share experiences and best practices in areas such as tourism, education, and other fields of common interest.
With this, the number of countries with which Nepal has established diplomatic relations has reached 186.
