Nepal and Suriname established diplomatic relations on October 11, 2018, and have since maintained cordial and friendly bilateral ties, such as collaboration in international forums like the UN.
Cooperation between the two countries largely occurs in multilateral forums, such as the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement. Although the bilateral trade volume between the two countries is currently minimal, there are prospects to explore niche areas for mutual benefit.
