Nepal and Turkmenistan Bilateral Relations

Nepal and Turkmenistan established diplomatic relations on October 24, 1984, marking the beginning of a warm and cooperative partnership based on goodwill, mutual respect, and shared values.

Both countries have non-resident embassies accredited to each other, with Nepal’s non-resident embassy for Turkmenistan located in Islamabad, Pakistan and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in New Delhi, India, is concurrently accredited to Nepal.

Based on recent developments, relations between Nepal and Turkmenistan are largely centered around diplomacy and multilateral cooperation as fellow landlocked developing countries (LLDCs). The two nations have also faced each other in international football competitions.
