Kathmandu: A business delegation from the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry has arrived in Kathmandu with the aim of further strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Nepal and Qatar.
The delegation, led by Board Member Mohd Ahmed M. A. Alobaidli, held a meeting with Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwonath Poudel on 10 February. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the overall economic relations between the two countries, opportunities for promoting banking and investment, and prospects for enhancing bilateral investment and banking cooperation.
The delegation is visiting Nepal at the invitation of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) as part of efforts to deepen the trade and investment partnership between Nepal and Qatar.
The visit is expected to open new avenues for cooperation in priority economic sectors and strengthen institutional ties between the business communities of the two countries.
