Kathmandu: The Embassy of Nepal in Lisbon organized a two-day mobile consular camp in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, providing essential services such as passport renewal and document authentication to Nepalis residing in the region.

During the camp, biometric applications for electronic passports (e-passports) were collected from 50 Nepali citizens. The Embassy also carried out authentication of police certificates for eight individuals, authentication of other documents for 13 individuals, processed passport applications for 50 individuals, and distributed 15 passports, benefiting nearly 100 Nepalis in total.

Deputy Head of Mission, Shatrudhwan Prasad Sharma Pokharel, reported that the camp generated revenue of 7,285 euros (approximately NPR 1,275,000). He emphasized that the initiative was organized to facilitate Nepalis in Porto who face challenges in accessing consular services in Lisbon.
