Ambassador Bhandari Delivers Lecture on Nepal-Bangladesh Relations in Dhaka

Kathmandu: The Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, delivered a lecture on “Nepal-Bangladesh Relations: Pathways for Enhanced Economic and Educational Cooperation” at Daffodil International University in Dhaka on October 21.

In his address, Ambassador Bhandari highlighted Nepal’s history and foreign policy, major aspects of Nepal-Bangladesh relations, and the significance of regional and subregional cooperation under the frameworks of SAARC, BIMSTEC, and the BBIN initiative. Moreover, he also emphasized the pathways to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas including trade and investment, energy, education, tourism, people-to-people connections, and LDC graduation.

Following the lecture, the Ambassador engaged with students and faculty during a Q&A session, addressing their questions and sharing insights on strengthening ties between the two neighboring nations.

Moreover, in a separate meeting with the Vice Chancellor and senior officials of Daffodil International University, Ambassador Bhandari discussed prospects for strengthening academic collaboration. The discussions focused on promoting faculty and student exchange programmes between Daffodil International University and academic institutions in Nepal to foster greater educational cooperation and knowledge sharing.
