Kathmandu: H.E. Sewa Lamsal had a meeting with European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib at the latter’s office on September 1.
During the meeting, matters related to the devastating flash flood in the Bhote Koshi river of Nepal and the ongoing efforts for search, rescue and relief operation were discussed.
While appreciating the support, sympathy, and solidarity expressed by EU in this difficult time, Ambassador Lamsal sought EU’s assistance in the urgent supply of some essential items
Commissioner Lahbib offered her deepest condolences during this tragic time and reaffirmed that EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid would actively seek support from Member States in this regard.
