Kathmandu: H.E. Sewa Lamsal held a courtesy meeting with Katrien Desomer, the Mayor of Ieper, at the latter’s office on October 9. They exchanged views on strengthening friendly relations between Nepal and Belgium. The Ambassador appreciated the Mayor for the support extended following the Bhotekoshi river floods.
They also discussed matters concerning the welfare of the Nepali community in Belgium, including the fallen Gurkha soldiers during the World Wars and the upcoming commemoration event on 11 November. She also visited the monument of Gorkha soldiers located in Iper
