Ambassador Oli Joins Courtesy Call on Thai Foreign Minister

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Ambassador to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, joined ambassadors from South and Central Asian countries in a joint courtesy call on Thailand’s Foreign Minister on December 2.

During the meeting, Ambassador Oli congratulated the Foreign Minister on his appointment and conveyed Nepal’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations. He highlighted the positive outcomes of the Nepali Prime Minister’s official visit to Thailand earlier this year, during which eight key MoUs and agreements were signed, giving fresh momentum to cooperation.

Ambassador Oli also briefed the Foreign Minister on Nepal’s ongoing political transition, the recent formation of an interim government, and preparations for the general elections scheduled for 6 March 2026.

Extending condolences over the passing of the Queen Mother and sympathies regarding the recent floods in southern Thailand, he reaffirmed Nepal’s solidarity with the Thai people.

He further underscored the deep cultural and spiritual ties between the two countries, including Thailand’s continued support for Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.
