Ambassador Rahman Meets Bangladeshi Photojournalists in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Two Bangladeshi photojournalists, Moinuddin Ahmed and Moshiur Rahman Sumon, who were recently honored with the prestigious Asian Professional Achievement Award 2025 in Nepal, met with Bangladesh’s Ambassador, Md. Shafiqur Rahman, at the Embassy in Kathmandu.

Moinuddin Ahmed, the Chief Photojournalist of The New Nation, received the Outstanding Photojournalism Award, while Moshiur Rahman Sumon, Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh Photojournalists Association, was honored with the Excellence in Photography and Hospitality Award for their significant contributions to their respective fields.

During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the recipients on their remarkable achievements, noting that their works capture powerful stories of the time and serve as an inspiration for others.

The Ambassador also lauded Moshiur Rahman Sumon for his initiatives in running a certified Hospitality Management Training Institute in Dhaka, which has been contributing to the empowerment of unskilled youths in Bangladesh.
