Ambassador Rahman Welcomes Film Directors to Strengthen Cultural Ties

Kathmandu: The Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, Md. Shafiqur Rahman, welcomed Bangladeshi film director Taneem Rahman Angshu, of “No Dorai (ন ডরাই)”, and Nepali filmmaker Deependra Gauchan, director of “Missing: केटी हराएको सूचना”, at the Embassy in Kathmandu.

During the meeting, the two directors discussed the issues of the screening of the Bangladeshi film “No Dorai” in Nepali theatres and gave an invitation to Ambassador Rahman and the embassy team to attend the film’s premiere.

Under the cultural exchange program, for the first time, the Nepali film “Missing: केटी हराएको सूचना” was screened in Bangladesh on July 18. In continuation of this exchange, the Bangladeshi film is set to be screened in Nepal in QFX Cinemas starting from 12 September.

Acknowledging the significance of such cultural initiatives, the Ambassador praised both the directors for their efforts and emphasized the importance of continuing similar exchanges and such initiatives to further strengthen the cultural ties between Bangladesh and Nepal.
