Ambassador Regmi Honored by Massachusetts Senate Symbolizing Bilateral Ties

Kathmandu: The Ambassador of Nepal to the United States, Lok Darshan Regmi, received a formal welcome from the Massachusetts Senate and House of Representatives during an informal session at the State House in Boston. 

The informal Senate session was presided over by Senator Nick Collins of South Boston, who officially recognized Ambassador Regmi from the Senate floor. 

In his remarks, Ambassador Regmi expressed sincere gratitude and conveyed the greetings on behalf of the Government and people of Nepal, highlighting the growing friendship between Nepal and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

As a mark of honor, the Ambassador was invited to sign the Senate’s Book of Distinguished Guests, an esteemed recognition symbolizing strengthened bilateral ties. Senators Bruce Tarr of Gloucester and William Brownsberger of Belmont, among others, were present to mark the occasion. 

Moreover, he was also acknowledged during an informal session of the House of Representatives, where State Representatives Donald Wong, Tackey Chan, Sean Garballey, and Keiko Orrall were in attendance. 

The State House visit concluded with a ceremonial exchange of souvenirs, gifts, and pins, followed by a brief reception in honor of the ambassador and his delegation.
