Kathmandu: Ambassador Ram Prasad Subedi, Permanent Representative of Nepal in Geneva, speaks at the 68th Assemblies of the Member States of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), on July 8. The 68th Series of Meeting of the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO is an annual, high-level policy gathering hundreds of delegates and ministers from WIPO’s 194 member states to discuss global intellectual property policies, budgets, and the future of international IP systems. The Diplomatic Engagement and Assemblies Affairs Division functions as the secretariat for WIPO governing bodies.
During the Assembly, Ambassador Subedi called for the continuation of WIPO deliverables for LDCs, including the graduation support package, as well as training and capacity-building programs.
