Ambassador Timsina Joins Cultural Dialogue in Malaysia

Kathmandu: Netra Prasad Timsina, Nepal’s Ambassador to Malaysia, participated in a cultural conversation titled “Unarchiving Archives” at ILHAM Gallery in Kuala Lumpur.

The event focused on Nepali culture and arts and was led by two Nepali youths, Priyankar Bahadur Chand and Bishal Yonjan of Kala Kulo, a Kathmandu-based creative initiative.

The program featured the artistic contributions of Tek Bahadur Mukhiya, particularly his book cover designs, including the cover of Doshi Chasma by B.P. Koirala. Discussions also explored the tattoo traditions and identity in Tharu communities, along with themes of migration and mobility from Nepal.

Kala Kulo announced plans for a major exhibition in Kuala Lumpur in 2026 to further promote Nepali culture and arts internationally.
