Kathmandu: South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE), in collaboration with the Garment Association of Nepal, organized a policy dialogue titled “Opportunities and Challenges for Nepal’s Garment and Textile Supply Chain in the Context of LDC Graduation.”
As Nepal gets ready for LDC graduation, the dialogue is a component of SAWTEE’s ongoing research and capacity-building project, which aims to evaluate the opportunities and challenges the country’s garment and textile industry may face.
The initiative also takes into account the evolving international trade landscape.
The program brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including garment and textile manufacturers, exporters’ associations, government officials, and civil society representatives.
Moreover, the insights and feedback gathered during the discussion will be used to inform and strengthen the project’s ongoing research.
