Kathmandu: The Australian Government released an update to Australia’s response to the flash flooding in Nepal and Tibet. The Australian Government deployed a further $3 million in humanitarian assistance, following the devastating floods along Nepal-China border.
$2 million was deployed to provide essential supplies, including hygiene kits and solar lighting solutions and is to be delivered by the Australian Defence Force.
In addition to Australians’ overwhelming response to the Emergency Action Alliance appeal, the Australian Government will provide a further $1 million.
