Australian NGO Cooperation Program Officials Visit Nepal to Review Impact and Opportunities

ANCP team explored opportunities and challenges faced in the implementation of projects and emphasized the importance of strong safeguard measures to ensure responsible and inclusive development.

KATHMANDU: Officials from the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP), Assistant Director Anna Mackintosh and Senior Program Officer Tobias Smith, visited Nepal to assess the program’s impact on vulnerable communities and engage in discussions with stakeholders.

During their visit, the ANCP team explored opportunities and challenges faced in the implementation of projects and emphasized the importance of strong safeguard measures to ensure responsible and inclusive development.

ANCP, the Australian Government’s largest and longest-running NGO program, currently funds 17 Australian NGOs to implement 38 development projects across Nepal. These initiatives aim to uplift vulnerable populations through a range of community-based programs.
