Kathmandu: The Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, Md. Shafiqur Rahman attended the opening ceremony of the 15th Asian Regional Conference (ARC) of the International Association for Engineering Geology and Environment (IAEG) as the Guest of Honour on 27 November.
Moreover, Minister for Physical Planning, Transport, Energy, Irrigation, and Urban Development, Dr. Kulman Ghising, joined the inaugural session as the Chief Guest.
The conference, jointly organized by Nepal and Bangladesh in partnership with the IAEG, is being held from 27 to 29 November under the theme “Geological Engineering for Societal and Sustainable Development.”
Around 40 geological scholars, scientists, experts, and practitioners from various Bangladeshi institutions and organizations are participating in the global event.
