Kathmandu: Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal Md. Shafiqur Rahman attended a Breakfast Roundtable as a guest speaker organized by the Association of Former Career Ambassadors of Nepal (AFCAN) in Kathmandu on February 2.
During the interaction, the Ambassador shared his views on Bangladesh–Nepal relations, highlighting both the potential and challenges in bilateral trade and business cooperation. He emphasized the long-standing friendly ties and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
The Ambassador stressed that strong people-to-people relations should not be affected by misinformation or disinformation campaigns and sought cooperation from senior diplomats and well-wishers to address such challenges.
AFCAN President Ambassador Bhagirath Basnet chaired the session. AFCAN members appreciated the Ambassador’s views and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting efforts to further strengthen bilateral engagement between Bangladesh and Nepal.
