Bangladesh Defence Delegation Visits Embassy in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: A 51-member delegation from the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur, led by Captain M. I. Sharif, (C), NPP, afwc, psc, BN, visited the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu as part of their overseas study tour in Nepal.

Ambassador Md. Shafiqur Rahman welcomed the delegation and shared his insights on Nepal-Bangladesh diplomatic engagements. Mohammad Humayun Kabir, First Secretary (Trade Promotion and Culture), briefed the participants on the trade relations between the two countries.

The delegation also attended a discussion session on “Nepal’s Foreign Policy and its Relationship with Bangladesh” conducted by Dr. Pramod Jaiswal, Research Director at the Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement (NIICE), a leading think tank in Nepal.

The course participants expressed keen interest and enthusiasm in learning about the strategic outlook and growing diplomatic ties between Nepal and Bangladesh. The delegation is in Kathmandu from 6–12 September 2025 as part of its overseas study tour.
