Bangladesh Embassy Hosts Fish Display Ahead of Bangladesh Fish Festival 2025

Kathmandu: As a prelude to the upcoming Bangladesh Fish Festival, the Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal hosted a display of Bangladeshi fish products this afternoon, featuring participation from leading exporters from Bangladesh.

The event brought together a significant number of Nepali fish importers, representatives from the hospitality sector, and managers and executives from various hotels and resorts. President of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), Binayak Shah, thanked the Embassy for organizing the program and for promoting culinary exchange between the two countries.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Md Shafiqur Rahman highlighted the unique flavor and rich culinary value of Bangladesh’s freshwater and marine fish. He spoke about the long history and global reputation of Bangladeshi fish dishes and noted the strong potential of Bangladesh’s export-oriented fisheries sector. The Ambassador also expressed appreciation to the Nepalese hospitality industry and HAN for their participation.

The Embassy will host the “Bangladesh Fish Festival” on November 28, 2025 at its premises, with diplomats, senior government officials, and business leaders expected to attend.
