Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu Hosts Closing Session of Climate Camp 2025

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu hosted the final closing session of the “International Climate Camp 2025: Symposium on Climate Change in South Asia,” welcoming a diverse group of climate change activists, researchers, academics, and youth delegates.

The session focused on sharing experiences and key takeaways under the theme “Lessons Learned in the Climate Camp 2025 in Nepal.”

Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Md Shafiqur Rahman, welcomed the delegates and chaired the event. The concluding session saw participation from renowned Water and Climate Expert and former BRAC University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ainun Nishat, the Additional Secretary of Bangladesh’s Economic Relations Division, the Vice Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh, and other prominent academics and climate activists.

Nepali academics, civil society members, and environmental activists also took part in the event, fostering cross-border dialogue and collaboration on climate action in South Asia.
