Bangladesh-Nepal Relations Discussed at Dhaka Roundtable

Kathmandu: The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), in collaboration with the Nepal Economic Forum (NEF), hosted a roundtable discussion titled “Bangladesh-Nepal Relations: A Renewed Outlook” on August 3, bringing together key stakeholders to explore ways to strengthen bilateral ties.

The event featured seven participants from Nepal and focused on opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, energy, education, and people-to-people connections.

Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanshyam Bhandari, highlighted the progress made in Nepal-Bangladesh relations and emphasized the need for deeper collaboration. He also called for stronger connectivity, cultural and touristic exchanges, and greater cooperation in regional and global forums on issues such as climate change, SDGs, migration, and disaster preparedness.

Ambassador Bhandari praised CPD and NEF for their efforts in promoting dialogue and knowledge-sharing and encouraged continued research to support a strong economic partnership between the two countries.
