Kathmandu: The Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, Md. Shafiqur Rahman undertook a visit to Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) in Beni at the invitation of the Myagdi district chamber body on October 21.
Ambassador Rahman was received by MCCI President Subin Shrestha and was welcomed by the current executive committee members and other constituents. Established in 1970 as a constituent member of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FNCCI), MCCI has been instrumental in promoting local trade, entrepreneurship, and industrial development in the district.
During an interactive session, President Shrestha presented an overview of local industries and their business ventures. He sought Bangladesh’s cooperation in enhancing business, trade, and tourism links through a potential direct air connection between Chittagong and Pokhara, and also proposed exploring joint investment opportunities in agriculture and hydropower projects.
