Bauddhaloka Foundation Organizes Special Puññānumōdanā Ceremony in Sri Lanka in Memory of the Victims of the Floods in Nepal

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Nepal in Sri Lanka expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Bauddhaloka Foundation, a Regional Centre of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB), for organizing a special Puññānumōdanā Ceremony at the sacred Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple in memory of those who lost their lives in the recent devastating natural disaster in Nepal. 

Charge d’Affaires Vijay Kumar Raut along with the Embassy family attended the ceremony. 

The Embassy thanked Jagath Sumathipala, Chairman of Bauddhaloka Foundation and Vice President of WFB, for leading the observances, Prof. Rangamini Weerawatta, Chairman of WFB Standing Committee for coordinating the programme and Kosala Wickramanayake, Trustee of German Dharmaduta Society & representative of Sri Lanka–Nepal Business Council, President and other members from the Nepal-Sri Friendship Association, Sri Lanka- Nepal Buddhist Association as well as members of the Bauddhaloka Foundation and distinguished guests who joined in prayer.

The gesture reflected the enduring Buddhist, cultural, and friendly bonds between the people of Nepal and Sri Lanka.
