Kathmandu: Maggie Doyne, CEO and Strategic Director of the BlinkNow Foundation, has been honored with the Love Thy Neighbor Award at the Justice, Love, and Peace Summit held in Dubai. The award recognizes her years of dedicated service and leadership alongside Top Bahadur Malla, Co-founder of Kopila Valley Sewa Samaj, BlinkNow’s implementing partner, in advancing education, child protection, and women’s empowerment in Nepal.
According to a Press Release from BlinkNow, Doyne accepted the award on behalf of the entire team, whose efforts have created life-changing opportunities for vulnerable children and women in Surkhet. Over the past 17 years, with the funding and technical support from BlinkNow Foundation, Kopila Valley Sewa Samaj has established a Children’s Home, an eco-friendly school, a Women’s Center, Future’s Programs for youth, and several community-based programs addressing poverty, gender inequality, health, and environmental sustainability. BlinkNow Foundation provides resources, capacity-building, and global visibility to the work being led locally in Nepal.
The international summit brought together more than 1,200 participants, including Nobel Peace Prize laureates, world leaders, and social activists, to celebrate changemakers committed to peace and justice. The event also launched a Peace Charter, which will be presented to the United Nations as a global call for love, equality, and harmony.
“This recognition belongs to the entire team of our implementing partner Kopila Valley and to the community leaders who are building a brighter future for Nepal’s children every day,” said Doyne.
This international recognition brings pride not only to the Kopila Valley team but also to the broader Surkhet community and the nation as a whole, serving as a powerful example of impactful, locally driven change being honored on the global stage.
